Does Hofstra, or Stony Brook Uni have a college town style main street nearby

I'm familiar with Hofstra and there's no real local area that students congregate to. Fulton Avenue east of Hempstead center is the bar scene (I gather it's not great), and Roosevelt Field is where kids shop & eat. If it were me, I'd head over to Franklin Avenue in Garden City to relax, but getting there would probably be difficult without a car. Too, from Mineola, NYC is a 30 minutes train ride.

Not sure ANY LI or NYC colleges have a college town Main Street. This is a function of population density in the region.
