I know I can chop this down myself but wondering if anyone knows how much something like this would cost? And if you can possibly refer anyone?

Here is the tree I would like to remove.

Thanks!

That doesn't look too difficult to remove yourself.

Do you have a reciprocating saw?

$25 pruning saw at Home Depot. I doubt it will take more than 15 mins to take down and saw into manageable pieces for disposal.

Like other home repairs, tree service guys want a certain minimum $$$$ to show up and make the job worthwhile. My guess, they'll want at least $300 to do this small job. If you have lawn service, they might do it for less, maybe $50 or so.

I'd take a shovel to the roots and pull the whole thing up

So I asked my landscaper and he said $225.00 to remove the tree and dig up the roots, and also remove this dead bush in the front of the house.

Take it if you won't do it yourself. Guys don't come out for small jobs without charging a pretty penny.
