Default A different two days in a row.

How sad first Selden, a co worker form a few years ago is murdered by her husband, and the second one in Manorville. I really think we need to do more about domestic violence. The order of protection is a joke,

I'm sorry to learn that the victim was a coworker. Such a horrific crime really hits home when the victim is someone you knew. A former coworker of mine was the perpetrator in a murder suicide several years back. He had wanted to date me when we worked together; I politely declined. He was a jealous guy and I wanted no part of that. I can't even begin to tell you how shaken I felt when I read the murder story in the paper.

Orders of protection are merely a piece of paper designed to make the law abiding feel safe. The person who the order is against already has demonstrated a blatant disregard for law, otherwise the victim would not have sought it. My heart goes out to everyone who is placed in such a terrible domestic situation.

Yes, orders of protection really do not stop someone who is determined to cause another person harm. To be fair, the police are not a private security force . I don't know what the solution is. It is a tragedy for everyone concerned .
