I always check tirerack first and price compare with STS. They do a good job there surprisingly.

Seems like Michelin tires no matter where I called are all price fixed at the exact same price between retailers. The other brands vary in price between sellers for sure.

I just got 4 new tires at All Weather Tires in Huntington this Saturday. It was crowded but I still managed to get out of the door in a little over an hour. I'm sure if I went there during the week I would be out in less than a half hour. Here is my opinion of the place, if you are in a hurry and need average tires then this is a great place. The tires I got were decent but after doing a bit more research I could have gotten better tires online.

The next time I need tires I think I might go the online route. I saw some very nice and reasonably priced tires on tirerack and I plan to buy them from there and have a local shop install them for me.

I went to costco. They were a few bucks cheaper than all weather tire and gave a 5 year pro rated warranty. Plus all weather stores alot of tires in their basement. I can't imagine that being good for the tire during the summer with all the humidity.

All Weather can order ones not in stock. I went the Tire Rack route once but when you added in shipping and installation All Weather would have been the same or less - after that I just price shopped what I wanted and then called All Weather.

I got my last set of tires from Costco but they wore out kinda fast (under 40k miles and the fronts were bald). It could have been my car's alignment or struts that caused it to wear out quickly so I wasn't blaming Costco. I would have gone back to them but I got a flat on a Friday and needed a new set right away. I didn't want to wait a week for Costco to get my tires delivered and then make an appointment to get them installed. I went with the suggestions posted by the people here and went to All Weather Tires.

Would All Weather price match over the phone and order the tires for you? A lot of places I called would not give me an estimate over the phone and told me I had to come in to get an estimate. All Weather is a good 40 minutes form me, so I don't want to make any unnecessary trips there. I would consider doing this the next time around or ordering from Tire Rack and having a shop close by install them for me.

All Weather and NYS Tire in Huntington will both price match over the phone.

I've had good experiences at Cheshire Tire in East Northport. They beat All Weather pretty handily when I called both for price quotes over the phone.
