Everyone has an opinion but I think most people would say Long Island is very overcrowded and getting more so every year.

There is something really odd about your statement. I would be disappointed , to put it mildly , if my son was married and said something like this. I'm hoping it was a joke.

Interesting you would marry someone that would potentially look down on your family, but ok. Asians (all Asians ) face a lot of prejudice and racism in this country. I think it's pretty pathetic that they are also racist against each other.

Well Nassau County (with some exceptions) is nowhere near being urban as even Eastern Queens, and Suffolk isn't crowded at all

Non westernized/ immigrant Asians are the most judgemental against other asians. The american born ones like myself tend to have more pan asian pride. Any asian will tell you this.

Not disagreeing with you. Its almost the same way there is anger within Caucasians with Irish, French, Polish, etc etc back in days...probably still some ill will out there still today

Asians are income/wealth "racists", not color "racists". It is more like the racism against Irish, Italian, eastern European immigrants in the early 1900s. Traditionally, there are always inter-marriage among Asians with similar family background, but you might not see that in the U.S. as there are more color "racists".

Lots of old Asian immigrants living on long island came to the U.S. at least 10-20 years ago. Their memory about Asia countries is still stuck in 1990s. They feel shocked when many new Asians from other countries come here and buy with all cash, and do not realize that the table has been turned against them.

Once again, no asians refer to themselves as yellow. Only others would (really who does anyway?). This is why your story about the Japanese guy saying that rang the bs meter.

Sandy is just bitter that the yellow man has priced him out of the North shore. He has to live in the South shore with his high class above ground pool, but immigrants from Queens are now ruining his classy neighborhood.
