Port Washington Car Window Bashing (North Bellmore, Bellmore: apartment, evictions, living)

A week or so ago there was a new articale about a significant amount of car valdalism that occurred in Port Washington. In one night, they bashed in about 30 car windows in the PW North area. Does anyone know anymore information about this (who and why)?

Yes I did but there was no follow-up that is seems that it fell off the radar for such crime. I found it strange that these cars were vandalized but nothing was stolen out of any of the cars.

Actually not too strange. This has happened in many towns, not just PW. Tires were just slashed in North Bellmore recently...things like this sometimes happen due to boredom...sad to say.

Revenge by the MS13 and Mexican gangs over code illegal apartment code enforcement and evictions of latinos.
The number is over 50 cars damaged and over 150 windows !!

Newdsay, 12 refuses to tell the whole story in fear of insulting hispanics.
If it were Black people it would have been reported !

I’m a bus driver, I get a bulletin just about every morning regarding gang members on the lamb.You won’t find it in the news!Ask ANY anybody living behind Soundview, Sitsink or any PW police officer (off duty)

-The (now teenage children) of most the illegal immigrant gardeners, restaurant and domestic help are growing up on the streets and are being recruited by gangs.Many MS13 and Guatemalan gangs.

This has been festering for years, as the wealthy property owner's who keep saying “Oh shutup…that cant happen here”

Wow, thanks for the insight, I guess the fact that they are actually evicting these people mean they are actually doing something about it. Then again, maybe not enough..

I don't think that we can presume that the people who smashed the windows were Mexicans. This is a not so unusual occurrence here on Long Island . Things like that happened long before we even had Latino immigrants.
