staten island is a good choice most schools are good if you more to south shore there are many good pubic schools.you have the si rapid transit train .and the bus service is good .if you move to north shore thats even better many nice areas but be careful some schools are sub par.but you are by the famous si ferry .the island is mostly middle class ..police/fire fighter construction workers ....good lock
