The news said something was brewing but that it was "very unlikely" to effect us. Use the National Weather Service for Islip. They were very accurate for me during this last storm.

Snowstorm is early speculation, we are seeing a potential weather maker for Thursday night into Friday most likely rain but they aren't sure may be snow again. That event would be in your area by the weekend

Yep, if there's no significant melting by then, I'm going to be up on the roof shoveling snow off. Last thing I need is a leak.

This is the greatest shovel ever made.
I have a long ass driveway, with almost 3 ft of snow because of the drifts.
I finished solo shoveling before my neighbor on 1 side that hired 5 mexican dudes with regular shovels. And beat my neighbor on the other side who was using a snowblower. And all our drivesways were blocked in by 4ft of ice/snow from the plows.
BTW, 2 inches more narrow but half the price:

Dosent look like it anymore, aside from some showers possible tomorrow looks like all clear through the weekend. Its going to go near 50 though so its going to be a wet rapidly melting mess.

Because of the wind, one side of my roof has no snow, the other side had like 3 foot. I climbed up and shoveled it all out.. was a major PITA since I couldn't haul my trusty shovel sled up to the roof and had to use a regular back breaking shovel. The fun part was jumping off the roof at the end because of the huge snow piles on the ground.

I considered this one, but it has a polymer handle as opposed to a steel handle of the more expensive one. I heard reviews of the polymer handle breaking. And the extra 2 inch width actually makes a huge difference in the amount of snow you can haul.

Just out of curiosity why? 3 feet is no big deal on your roof and it's going to melt quickly this week.
