I know the road test is on Cedar by the LIRR but can anyone tell me what the rest of the route is ? What turns and where do they have you 3 point turn and parallel park ?
The driving instructor has told me they cannot give me a lesson using the road test route so I am trying to at least find out the route to get an idea
They can't tell you because they don't wan't you to CHEAT. You should have no problem passing if you learned how to drive properly. Take lessons. Don't cheat. If the instructor told you he would lose his job!! Among other penalties. I am sure he knows they probably test instructors from time to time to see if they will divulge this info. He was smart to say what he did!If he feels you are not ready he should tell you that. And then you should wait until you are ready. Don't rush it! We have enough problems in the roads these days as you can easily see in the news every day! Learn correctly & drive SAFELY. And by all means do NOT ever be tempted to drive while under the influence of anything. Whether it be alcohol or drugs.Or anything else.

Good Luck
I am not asking to cheat I have every intention of learning to drive safely from the instructor however I would like to know the route for my personal knowledge so I am not surprised on the day of the road test that isn't cheating ... cheating would be only practicing the road test route

Sure like you will not go to area to practice once you know the route. Funny!

In my opinion, if you're not ready for surprises, then you're not ready to drive. You never really know what to expect when driving, therefore, you need to be able to handle whatever the road gives you that day—detours, accidents, potholes, idiot drivers, something that falls off of the back a truck.
I had to deal with a construction site for my road test, which was unusual. But I did what was appropriate - followed all signs and flaggers - and did just fine.
If you follow the rules of the road and put into practice what you've learned, you'll do fine. Knowing or not knowing the road test route won't change that.
Practicing in a road test area is not permitted. However riding as a passenger while a licensed driver "drives" thru the area is not illegal.
