So I have a house in Hewlett and want to sell it. the issue is that there were some open permits when I bought it and now I am having issue due to an extension at the house. I filed plans with an architect but now I am being told I need an expeditor to do a variance ect. I just want someone to help me get this thing done.

Thanks.

Express Permits 8 Northwest Dr, Farmingdale, NY 11735 (516) 249-1234

or

RMB Drafting Services 308 East Meadow Avenue East Meadow , NY 11554 (516) 396-0600

I would try express permits first and get a price.. If it doesn't work out with them try RMB. Express will probably be cheaper.

Hello, sorry to jump on the bandwagon but I'm in the process of getting a house in the town of Hempstead. Homeowners said they had CO's for everything including above ground pool.
Now that we have signed the contract they say they don't have the CO for the pool and they can tear it out if the bank gives us trouble.
I would like to keep the pool as my little one saw it and calls it the pool house.
Why are they not willing to get the CO on the pool as we said it was our main concern right from the get go.
But they weren't honest until now - that the contact is almost settled.

Homeowner says she never had a problem with it. Odds are, I will.
Does anyone know if I will have to pay fines on this pool or what the process is to get the CO.
Any advice on an expeditor for Town of Hempstead?
I'd like to find out how much it is all going to cost so I can ask for a deal from the sellers.
Thanks in advance!

You better do some research on what is required to make a pool legal before you decide to do the CO yourself.

Similar question - I am trying to close on selling my home in TOH. Unbeknownst to me, the enclosed porch did not have a certificate of completion/permit. I have been in the home for 4 years. Previous owners around 40 years. This thing is old... this had to be built over 40 years ago. Unfortunately, my title company didn't catch this. Lawyer told me to get an expeditor. This literally came up 1 day before the closing was set. I've already packed up and moved out. I need a suggestion for a good expeditor. I also would like to know what to expect. Will I be asked to tear this down? What will take place?
