My neighbour's rooster makes noise every morning at 6am. It's getting annoying. Is it legal to have rooster in the backyard? We got small yard so I felt like it's right next to my ear.

I think it's decided by municipality. Have you looked at your town/village code?

Good point

"The keeping, maintaining or harboring within the village of chickens, ducks, geese, turkeys or other fowl, pigs, swine, goats, sheep, horses, mules, donkeys, cows or other cattle, rabbits, hares, mink and other fur-bearing animals customarily kept or raised for their pelts of fur, alligators, any poisonous or dangerous reptile, insect or arachnid or any vicious or dangerous animal, including but not limited to pit bulls, bird or fowl, wild or domestic, is hereby declared to be a nuisance. It shall be unlawful to keep, maintain or harbor any such animal, fowl, bird, reptile, insect or arachnid within the village, and it shall be unlawful for the owner, occupant, lessor or lessee of any land within the village to permit or allow any land owned, occupied, leased or controlled by such person to be used for the keeping, maintaining or harboring of any such animal, fowl, bird, reptile, insect or arachnid."

So, I would think it's a no, right? I guess I have to first locate the rooster......see which house is it from.

That's what Roosters do. They make noise early in the morning.
What's wrong with that? I think it's a bit discriminatory if you're saying that a Rooster cannot make roostery sounds in the morning. You should be ashamed of yourself being prejudice against Roosters.

We need to buy our neighbor's rooster a watch; it makes noise all day long.

Sure pick on the rooster but it's fine for your landscaper to show up with the backpack blower at 7 AM on a Saturday morning. I bet you wash your car with the water from the pool too.

Too bad I can't afford landscaper nor a pool. 6am is a bit early. I can take 7am. My kids wake up early anyway.

Get a bigger rooster and throw it over the fence into their yard.
