Didn't really think i needed to go in to that many details, im asking for advice because I'm i said im looking to buy and want to know where are the least ghetto spots in LI where i can raise a family. Schools is a priority . Any positive advice would be greaatly appreciated. I just the names of the nicest towns in LI. Thanks you.
Well your budget would narrow your search. Without that, you will get suggestions from almost all of LI, not too many bad parts in LI.
1. Nassau or Suffolk county?
2. What is your budget?
3. Does LIRR access matter for commuting purposes?
4. Do you care about school districts or do you plan to do private school?
Once you answer the above 4 questions, we can then suggest some towns. Otherwise - you are free to live in any of the towns below:

I've been to those towns and they seem very ghettoish..sorry to say.
Unfortunately most anything in the western part of LI (Nassau) that is affordable will be ghetto-ish. The safer towns are usually more expensive, even up & coming towns like Mineola & Farmingdale, are getting expensive. If you do not need a train station, your best bets in Nassau would probably be Levittown, Plainedge, East Meadow. Needing a train station definitely makes things harder. Further east in Suffolk it is easier to find more affordable places in decent neighborhoods. The influx of Wall Street wealth & illegals have made affordable Nassau towns less & less.
I wish I could recommend my town, Westbury, but I'm sure you've found (at least parts) of it to be kinda ghetto-ish. And for the prices of homes, you'll have school taxes & village taxes, its no bargain, plus the schools are bad so you have to pay for private. Unless you don't plan on having kids.
I mean if you have to choose from all the ghetto-ish towns in Nassau, Westbury is still probably one of the better ones. Train station, walkable town, plenty of shopping nearby, diverse. Its just we have problems with vagrants that hang around in certain spots all day (esp by the corner of Post & Maple), though I cant say crime is that bad, most of the problems are in New Cassel and parts near it.
If I was able to be Mayor of this town, I would put a stop to the loitering. New streetlights would be all over town. That corner Piazza & Rite-Aid would probably be redeveloped into a mixed use residential/grocery, and maybe even a Starbucks.
I would also have the Village join with Carle Place in a new school district, New Cassel would be seperated (which is where most of the school probs come from & is dragging our town down).
I'd also work with the LIRR to have more trains stop at Westbury.
You're just the kind of folks I wish would move to Westbury, but I can understand why you wouldn't want to now. Anyway, good luck in your search!
As everyone said, we need to know your budget. I'm Hispanic as well but my thoughts on what i would consider to be affordable would vary from others. To me, anything between $600K-$900K is affordable. Anything with taxes between $25K-$30K is also (in my mind) affordable. Again, it all depends on what you are able to afford and what aspects of a town are most meaningful to you. For myself (who is in an interacial marriage), having a town that has a decent mix of various nationalities is important. Same goes for the religious aspect as well. Ultimately, you need to find an area where your neighbors have similar values to your own...

Valley Stream isn't ghetto, and Rosedale really isn't either even though it sorta looka ghetto
I'm not too sure about Elmont
Part of VS look kinda ghetto to me, esp the further north and west one gets (Merrick Blvd west of Central comes to mind). Crime can also be a problem in the area (you can just look in Newsday or Google for that).
But Valley Stream has nice parts, esp the Gibson section (more $$$) or even by the central downtown area.
Elmont looks kinda ghetto if you're on Hempstead turnpike, but there are middle class sections & the schools are surprisingly good with a number of Ivy league graduates. Elmont Memorial High School Accepted To All 8 Ivy League Schools « CBS New York
No train though, bad for commuters or those without cars.
