what about the gilgo murders? Its obvious there was a police cover up at the highest levels.

word around town is james burke was the serial killer. or maybe he just had a fetish for snuff films? Or maybe he was involved in a prostitution ring and he killed these girls who became problems.... Of couse these are just rumors although I do find it strange that he was held without bail, plead guilty but has not been sentenced yet.

and I heard they are investigating the suffolk DA office for tapping federal agents phones and recording conversations about what they were saying about burke

She didn't succeed in actually murdering her target but I'd put Amy Fisher as one of the most notorious LI crimes.
