My wife and I are looking for our first home. We're from Babylon, and have been looking at areas north and east of here, without going TOO far out east.
Anyway, we've recently been looking at Holbrook -- most recently the Parkland area. Seems like good prices and taxes. But we're unsure about the power lines running around Sunrise Hwy and Nicolls Rd (they run along some of the border of the Parkland area, for instance). And also, the airport (though I've read it's not bad in Parkland and other areas). Also curious if there's access to gas lines in the Parkland area (I know there's sewer access).
I've read through a few threads regarding Holbrook. Curious if anyone has any thoughts on the Parkland area and the issues mentioned.
