I was wondering if anyone here who lives on Long Island has ever done it at Jones Beach or any other beach on Long Island?

Absolutely but that was 40 years ago. If I did it now I'd be ticketed for water pollution.

Not sure about public beaches, but I used to go a lot out on the north fork. Not because I was a nudist, but simply didn't have a bathing suit to cool off in.
Ps
It's the best!!!

We used to go to a part of Fire Island that welcomed this. We kind of prefer it. But since Sandy even the friendly nudist beaches of FI are no more. Makes us very sad. We have not gone back since 2013. So not sure if they changed it back again there. Nude Sunbathing On Fire Island Banned By Officials After Complaints Of Assault, Sex

Would not try it at Jones Beach. Wish felt OK doing it in our own backyard canal. But we don't think our neighbors would like it. Kids & all.

It's probably better to try it at night during the summer.

They don't have them anymore; just older people walkin around in "C-Strings" to get as close to the feeling of being naked as possible

I've seen nude sunbathers just last summer at robert moses state park (fire island west end near lighthouse). You walk 10 minutes away from the crowds and you will see it and can participate also.
