I don't have the statistic how common but it does happen...there are lines that require a change, some don't. As mentioned, some almost always requires a change at Jamaica. For example, most Babylon trains goes to Penn....if you on that one odd schedule that goes to Atlantic Terminal...then a change is required.


Especially during peak times, I had experiences where there was only an express train...so I had to hop off to catch a local in Jamaica. I assume the local were coming from Brooklyn or Hunterspoint.
