Arrrggghhh! But thanks for this. I plan to leave around 6:30 am from my moms. I will also have the taxi take me back to my mom's and have my DH pick me up there on Sunday. If he has to deal with this he might as well drive the car off the bridge. LOL I'll let him know about this. All I can say is shoot me in the foot. My Stupid A.... brother who makes 3 times as much money was too cheap to pay for any flights out of MacArthur. He said the flights were cheaper out of LGA. Money is tight for us now and I appreciate him paying for me to come see him and his family but next time I am staying away from LGA.

my flight leaves 10 am on September 29th. I heard traffic is bad. Pubs that early LOL I don't think so.
I just took a flight last week from LGA. My plane was scheduled to leave at 9AM. I took Uber for the first time and the price was the same as car service, but as a first time user of Uber, I got a 20 dollar discount. My past experience was that traffic was horrendous after 7 AM, but while it was slow, it really wasn't that bad, at least it wasn't bumper to bumper. I left extra time because of the construction near the airport, which was the slowest part. I thought security would be slow, but I got randomly picked to go through the precheck line, although I would have had time if I had gone through the usual security line. I did not have luggage to check. If I did, then I would not have had all that extra time that I had. Perhaps, many people are currently on vacation and are not traveling the Cross Island or the Grand Central early in the morning for work just like the LIRR is less crowded during the morning rush until Labor Day.
