And this pretty much sums up most Trump voters.

Trump is a bigot? Don't care.
Trump's "policies" are really just a combination of vagaries and utter unworkable plans? Don't care.
Trump has no experience in politics whatsoever? Don't care.
Trump defrauded thousands of low-income people? Don't care.
Trump is a misogynist? Don't care.
Trump has never demonstrated the demeanor necessary to be taken seriously as a global leader? Don't care.
Trump's businesses are founded largely on bankruptcies and suing for tax-benefits? Don't care.
Trump's famed acumen in making money actually brought him less income than if he had just invested his dad's money in an index-tracking fund? Don't care.

Fortunately, this type of ignorant, non-critical thinking is not sufficiently prevalent in this day and age such that Trump will have critical mass to get elected. And there is no point in trying to reason, discuss, or argue with people who think this way. They were, as The Economist wrote "lost to Mrs Clinton long ago" due to "today’s deep partisan divisions." It is what it is and all you can do is to continue to debunk the misinformation and point out that the messengers are not those types of people with whom you want to associate.

Take our friend Interlude here - an admitted and proud racist who believes that certain Hispanic groups commit crimes at a higher rate because they have less "whiteness" in their blood than others. I wouldn't want to support his views or his candidate.

I don't fear Trump. I like Trump. He's funny and has cast a nice spotlight on the cockroaches in Congress. Then he became Republican cause he's an opportunist. That's the problem.

I fear Pence and Cruz and the other right-wingnuts Trump will 'accidently' let in in a Trojan Horse. He has cast his lot with them and their real agenda isn't jobs or eradicating ISIS. It's getting rid of free secular thought in America and turning us into a bible thumping nation based on scripture, NOT the constitution.

Republicans tank the economy. That's what they do. They crush it to death, then get elected out, then crow about "slow growth" and no new jobs despite #'s to the opposite for 8 years (and no job bill from them). They will escalate war to profit their pals and secure fear based down ballot votes. Don't put a draft inside 4 years past them. How else you gonna "rebuild the military?" Come question my patriotism to my face, but my kid is not going to the middle east unless he volunteers. He's not going to line Cheney's pockets with another $35 billion because Trump or Congress says so. You'll be kissing my freshly minted Canadian behind before that happens.

The Dems will make weak compromise, push for a few progressive reforms that will stall and make modest but sustaining military moves that will usually be short sighted but will maintain a semblance of stability in the short term. Maybe get a small tax increase on the 1% but not likely. Mostly gridlock and squabbles over raising the debt limit. Same old stuff. Annoying but safe.

I prefer the status quo to the 2007-2008 I remember vividly and many are still trying to recover from. I remember the Republicans notion of 'greatness.' It wasn't so great.

Meanwhile, it has been repeatedly shown that Hillary has been intentionally careless, reckless, fraudulent and a liar. Trump is an obnoxious lout. Hillary belongs in prison.

Yet ONLY Republicans with an agenda come after her while he's got a laundry list of good, average Americans suing him in multiple venues to get a small portion of their financial life he stole and then lied about back. And he slanders them before ponying up a penny. Let's see those tax returns, bruddah!

Only the media is scaring people about Trump. The man has much more integrity than the Clintons.

I like how the media paints Trump as a womanizer, the guy hosts multiple beauty pageants at his casinos and always respectful of contestants including removing any contestant that has posed nude before.

I don't see the media calling out Bill Clinton who has been associated with as many women as Charlie Sheen has. The only thing Hillary needs is to be associated with him in order to get into power.

Why did Obama remove Hillary in 2014? Because she screwed up. She's a careless politician like FBI Director Comey said about mishandling of classified documents. She has often worked on her own recognizance and refused to follow Obama's wishes.

Good point. They are in the minority, these ignorant modern day "no nothings" oppose critical thinking and higher education - but love reality shows and "people who tell it like it is".

Brilliant post.
