I read the following house listing and couldn't stop laughing at the written description - especially when it is read while looking at the street view. https://www.redfin.com/NY/Merrick/59...home/109079834 Really? Who writes this BS?!?
Funny! Real address is no longer 59 though. They got it changes to reflect updates probably LOL. Current address is 2637 according to Nassau County website....Zillow has it listed on their site as 2637. Someone really messed up on this one. And not listed at all with MLSLI. So something strange for sure. But has only been on for 1 day. Most stuff in that location priced right goes fast. So if it is legit sale it will go fast. But to me is does not look kosher. Both sites Zillow & Redfin are bad now. I question the Jennifer Palma & Master Estates as legit. HMMM?? Fishy for sure!
Maybe I will show up at Sundays Open House LOL
Here is Zillows listing for same house...LOL..bad advertising. Easy to find for long retired detective here.
I don't know the house seems cute and in relatively good condition, at least from the pictures so I guess I don't see anything wrong with it. Obviously, there is a huge difference in person vs. pictures but at least it is in a decent school district and not a wreck. For the money it doesn't seem to be that bad, acknowledging that they will never get their price, but I obviously am not familiar with the going rate for homes in that part of town.
How to write real estate ads: Capitalize Every Word. Don't put a space after periods. Abbreviate EVERY POSSIBLE WORD. No word over 3 letters should be written un-abbreviated.
Ideally the ad should be able to sum up all of the features and history of a house in no more than 2 sentences that look like a text message written by a 14 year old girl.

Master Bedroom in a Cape is a funny term. I don't think Masters down South lived in tiny capes
The pictures from InstantStreetView were clearly taken in the winter when the house was still under renovation. The abbreviations realtors use should probably be limited, but having spent the better part of 2 years looking at homes - I actually know all those terms without having to look it up. The house looks cute, and is priced well - I agree it will sell quickly. The downside is its location in flood zone prone South Merrick.

You think that's bad, try checking out some of the used car listings on CL.
