So far neither one has hinted they will resign. Interesting to see how this impacts Michael Venditto who is up for election in 3 weeks

Innocent until proven guilty.
While I believe they are as guilty as sin, as Americans they deserve the right to a fair trial and let justice sort this out. 95%, no 98% of Nassau politicians are corrupt, hopefully this is the beginning of the end for all these hacks and their cronies. Of course now that I moved out of Nassau this is happening.

Of course NOT. We the taxpayers will. And get ready for taxes & fees to go up. To pay for all their legal fees.

We were talking just now to a few of our news reporter friends. There are all aware like we all are about Mangano's corruption for many years. Asked them to try to get their both networks to do a larger scale investigation into what happened with LI's bus system. We all know about that. So far 1 reporter friend did get back to us.She is an investigative reporter. But NOT on LI. And did say they were told they CAN investigate it for a possible story since Mangano is in the spotlight right now.You know how the media is. We can't trust & believe them either. My friend from News12 did NOT get back to me yet. Guess they are busy today!

We never use the buses so we don't care personally. But we do know a few people that rely on it to get around on LI. We all have known for a long time that Mangano has the cab companies lining his pockets.

Love using Uber to get to the train station. When we call a cab to take us to the LIRR it stinks! Not very quick & reliable Every single time they do not just pick us up & go from point A to point B. They ALWAYS stop & pick up other customers! Many times there are already people in the cab when they pick us up. And all of us are furious. Uber is fast & efficient.

Mangano worked hard to keep Uber out of Nassau. As a FAVOR to the private cab companies. But Uber is here. Been several months since we used it. But they are not suppose to pick up anyone unless the trip includes drop-off or pick-up within NYC's boundaries. But I have taken Uber many times for local trips. So they are operating illegally here & under the radar. And it costs the same exact price the private cab quotes. But Uber comes FAST & the cars are SO much cleaner & nicer. As are the drivers.

sure enough you are correct
he cut a deal with the taxi and limo companies who supported his political campaign - lol
people have tons of photos of cabs - latino cab company down in hempstead and that other cab company - riding all around with mangano banners on them
his whole administration was all about him
the cab companies advertised for him and he protected them
he also gave buddies do nothing jobs at high salaries by forming the nassau county taxi and limo commission

then he bounced mta in favor of the disasterous nice bus company which is a client of al damato - who despite being thrown out of office years ago - still runs nassau county through mondello who for some reason thinks people are still enamored of damato

thank god we beat down his casinos - long island gambling
we kept one small part of gaming corruption and criminal activity out of long island
no thanks to mangano

People work on political campaigns because they expect jobs or favors from the elected official when they win. None of this is new. The problem with nassau and suffolk is the degree of everything.
but that's not what mangano did - him and walker right from the beginning thought they were beyond the party who made them - that's what got them in trouble

they caused hundreds of republicans to either leave the party or sit back when it came time to work it because back in 2010 - mangano via walker
threw the foot soldiers who campaigned for them under the bus

i never got involved politically but i have lots of neighbors who were and every single one of them hated mangano who promised them or their kids or someone they know who worked hard campaigning for him a job and they didn't get one - they weren't looking for linda mangano get rich quick and do nothing jobs but actual jobs they qualified for that would pay them a fair wage for an honest days work

none of them came through

and friends of mine said he promised to clear house of the nyc people pulled into those exempt jobs that were traditionally supposed to be filled with supporters - and walker never did that

to some degree those 100,000 attorney jobs are still filled with people hired under suozzi's people which was like a slap in the face to mangano's crew

i went to one of those town parades with my family and there were people talking about the county attorneys office - probably because most of the politically involved were lawyers and 2 of my neighbors were involved with the courts

lol

idiots threw their own people under the bus and left suozzi appointed democrats in 100,000 attorney jobs now they need those attorneys to represent them because they made even worse deals with people who were even party people

the only surprise is that rob walker isn't standing next to him
