Where on LI are you? I'm originally from Queens and at one point my dad had to go to Astoria to a Greek butcher to get whole lamb because the pork store in his neighborhood stopped ordering whole lamb. I remember my dad always getting it with eyes intact. That's what grossed me out at the dinner table lol..my mom always made something different for my brother and I when they ate that.
