Good riddance.... Now of course the interim replacement is Muscarella from the same Town Board that ok'd the Singh contracts among other things. Mangano is still in office, Walker is still around, and of course the Town Board will get to pick the next Supervisor... Hell Michael Venditto is out of a job now, maybe he will be next for TOB Supervisor....

"Federal bribery trial for Harendra Singh indefinitely delayed"

Nice. This is not fishy at all.

bet Robert Ripp is excited.

Mangano needs to resign too. Both should be thrown in jail.

The restaurant guy cut a deal.
He's gonna sing like a bird.
I'd be locked up in my house with an arsenal if I were him.

He knows it's over problem is that most of the board, town attorney and the councilmen need to go also the 3 on the ethics board. I have to laugh that the only reason Ippolito was convicted for was tax evasion, no problem with conflict of interest for a Town Planning Commissioner working for a paving contractor that gets town contracts.

Problem is that they will now put in one of their own as the election is years away.

The seat is actually up this November, but the crony would obviously have a major head start.

Another resignation, this time its Town Attorney Leonard Geonova

Leonard Genova, Oyster Bay town attorney, announces resignation | Newsday

Rumor is that Assemblyman Saladino is the likely replacement and could be named as early as tomorrow.

Quote:
However, Saladino, who is favored by Nassau GOP chairman Joseph Mondello, got tied up in a bigger spat within the county party because power broker Alfonse D’Amato, the former U.S. senator, preferred another candidate.

Robert Ripp (who seems to be missing) played a huge part in dismantling the entire TOB. This should be a lesson to all local and state governments to keep your greed and corruption in check. You bully enough people and eventually someone is going to retaliate with much greater force.
