Farmingdale area (Lenox: apartments, purchase, safer)

Does anyone know if the Farmingdale area called "Lennox Hills" just south of the golf course is safe. We have young teenagers and I checked the maps, read the forums and the area around Main Street seems unsafe. It is so close to Lennox Hills where we are looking to purchase a home. Can anyone in the immediate area advise?

The Farmingdale area is safe. That includes the area around Main Street and the Lenox Hills section.

If anything, Main St is beginning to build up and thrive again with new apartments and downtown area. Probably safer now than it has been in years
