So? They also require you to pay 8 weeks in advance of getting the paper so they're still always 2 months ahead.
Offered to pay in advance 1 year if I could get the 26 week discount rate for the whole year - circulation said no. LOL. So I said - ok - pass on your 26 week deal then & ordered another paper instead.
Way to sell newspapers.

The real laugh is how the paper plus electronic version costs less than electronic only.

I got the weekend only so we'd have the Saturday & Sunday papers on our step when we woke up. Every weekend my guy would miss either Saturday or Sunday. When you call customer service they say they'll send the guy back. He rarely if ever comes back with it. I cancelled...and I made them give me back the activation fee. That's my point. They sell you a service and when they renege, you cancel but they're still ahead.

When you cancel, you should charge Newsday a de-activation fee.

Our guy is great. We like our morning paper. It's old school. Nothing finer for a morning dump!

I prefer print over many newspaper websites. No ads to close on every story. Websites are good for skimming and for reading breaking news but if I want to read a paper cover to cover I'd rather read print.

I share our optimum log in with my sister and brother who both have Fios and two former NYers here in SW Florida to read the on line issue. Of course most just check the obits to see who they outlived.
