So I thought it was Starbucks but I guess that's so000 yesterday - was wondering where the 50+ go to meet other 50+ people or just hang out alone on a Saturday Afternoon or Eve & I guess I found it - the supermarkets. Now they have these cafes in the supermarket with WiFI so you can bring your device and buy a snack & they're all sitting sipping and computing on a Saturday night. Cool.

Where else are they going? Game night at the libraries is during the week & they close early weekends-

I'm 4 years away from the 50+ crowd and I would not hang out in a supermarket café to meet anyone. But that's just me. most of the 50+ that I know especially my 2 BIL's they are most likely snoozing on the couch with some sports or car show on TV. LOL. Maybe I am getting too old but my days of hanging out past 9pm are long gone. Yes it's ok to laugh because I find it funny too. If I do go out with friends or BIL and wives, it's usually to a diner or dinner at their house or mine It usually breaks up around midnight with me trying to stay awake. I feel like a looser at times. What happened to the days of going out at 11pm and coming home at 4am?

I did this once in my life. To see the Rocky Horror Picture Show at Uptown Theater in Minneapolis in the 1980's. Still not sure what to think of that!

Supermarkets are better bowling alleys for seniors because the head of iceberg lettuce used as a ball is lighter. The boxes of Ronzoni spaghetti make great pins, not much effort to knock them down. Take the grandkids to work as a ball returner. Shelves act as a "gutter" so if the lettuce hits the shelves, its a gutter ball. Plenty of beer and wine to go around, cookies, crackers, etc... all available.

Grandkids also act as a blame measure for when the store workers come to investigate.

Supermarkets are like the Zoo; the food costs so much that you just go there to see the food; like the animals at the Zoo you cannot take the food home.
