Smile Gas stations in Huntington
Does anyone know why all of the gas stations in Huntington are required to be full service? I wonder how this came about...I don't think any other LI towns require this. Not that I'm complaining...

The Town of Huntington does not allow self service gas stations, citing safety issues. This goes back at least ten years. Recently, the town board considered recinding this ban, but ultimately decided to leave it in place.

Does the gas cost more than a self serve? Do they add the full serve into all the prices? I would guess so?

I would think so, but it doesn't seem to cost much more than anywhere else on LI.
