First off...congratulations on the sale! You deserve respect for actually admitting that your house was priced above the market...and for reducing it when needed. If more sellers did what you did, the market might not be so bad! Best wishes!

If you can handle the humidity, mosquitoes, and bad food, you'll be fine.

...are why people bash long islanders. Everyone's happiness is very personal, try not to perpetuate our regional stereotypes next time...
Good luck bay.

Thanks Jrprofess, It's all good.
Humidity vs. snow, hmmm.... I was in shorts walking the beach yesterday.
Mosquitos are on LI too, nothing some bug spray won't correct.
I have grown to like BBQ (pull pork) and I love shrimp & grits! Hush-puppies, too. But I must admit that the accessibility to a good variety of food will be what I miss most. And the southern food may put an inch or so on my waist.

Just a note to Islanders, in the South BBQ is something you eat, not something you do, down here a BBQ is called a cookout. They're also big on pig pickings, and buying Brunswick stew or BBQ chicken from places along side the roads. Good eats this side of the Mason/Dixon.

Can you find veal parmigiana hero on a Semolina hero anywhere?

In my kitchen, we make our own veal parmigiana heros.
Here in the former Capital of the Confederacy we have some really great Italian and Mediterranean food. On the coast of NC I find great seafood that's as good as I used to get on LI.
So there's plenty of really good food down South.
And don't forget, we also have Waffle House, which of course is the food of the gods.
