I have multiple dogs. If don't want to smell their poop the neighbor's certainly do not want to smell it (unless they're weirdos.) It is unsanitary to leave poop in a pile, attracting flies and vermin. My weathered patio furniture might not be as attractive as it was new, but at least it is not odiforous and won't attract disease spreading critters.

The one post OP never did elaborate and I wouldn't know if my neighbor was dropping anything near the fence post my yards a little bigger than a postage stamp. I never said I condone pile dog poop or anything else being piled I only reflected on the number of recent posts where someone is offended by something in their neighbors yard, how they maintain the yard, how their lawn crew blows grass/leaves, what type of fencing, how the trash is place, the cars parked or just the fact that their neighbor is unacceptable....

I'm only on 3/4 acre; I wouldn't smell a dog poop in the far corner, I also could not leave it there to stink. I didn't think you were condoning that.

Going back to your point about people getting offended by a number of things: I've noticed the increase in crankiness, too.
