I am really considering moving here but gosh. Is affordable housing unheard of in this neck of the woods?

Are you looking to buy or rent. What's affordable?

That's a tough one, unless you're in some old Italian guy's basement..even then, you may have to do the dishes and mow the lawn.

Now, this is brand new and quite nice, but if you can swing $1450, maybe get it a little lower, this is a nice place to be...

This is typical of Souzzi's (all 3 or 4 of them running the whole town and county) lies and quest to be another Robert Moses. These guys re-zoned for that construction and told everybody that building (and other's slapped up in Glen Cove) would be limited affordable housing for senior citizens .....so it wouldnt burden the schools (taxes)

2 bedroom 1387 sqft for $3055/mo in a apt building with no parking, cant put a TV antenna on the roof, have to use cablevision +$140 is affordable ?

This is part of the Suozzi "Master Plan" Glen Cove Home Its should be Illegel for on family to have that much monopoly power, these guys have a hand in EVERYTHING up there even the Fire department. These people want to drive out the 2nd and 3rd generation Long Islanders, plow down all the 1 family houses and make everbody renters in high density buildings Cedar Swamp Road :: Home

What are Wall Streeters and Yuppies with kids doing occupying them, and what happens when all them are out of work, can’t pay the rent and move in with mom and dad ?

Ill tell ya !
The landlord claims "hardship" and the building becomes Sec 8 ! Like in the 70's slump in the most the crap Robert Moses put up in the South Bronx.

There is another Monstrosity Glen Cove, NY -- Welcome to the City of Glen Cove Website just before the firehouse on the left near the Moose Lodge and another high density 15+ story 80 Million dollar lawsuit (to stop it) Suozzi left Glen Covers with on the water by the old radium dial company property
