My husband and I had our cesspool pumped and inspected after we moved in (last November). We are thinking about an addition so we need to show proof of inspection, how much was pumped, the type of cesspool, and condition. This is to be filled out by the person who did the work for us and also copied onto his letterhead. When I called, he told me he had no memory or record of this job. He told me I would have to pay him to come out and inspect it again. I feel like he's just trying to take advantage and make some money. This information isn't on the receipt. I was wondering if companies are required to keep record of this information? Is there any regulation or rule about keeping any of this information for a certain period of time? I would hate to have to pay someone again....anyone have advice or knowledge on this?

Doubt unless you asked they would keep such detailed information about how much pumped. I would probably pay the $ and get something specific, plus if you had it pumped last November it's not a bad idea to see how it's doing a year later anyway.

How old is your cesspool system?

Does your addition include a bedroom?
