Garden St.
I grew up in GC and one of my best friends lived on Garden St. Her family was robbed 2x (in 1980's) don't know what its like now, but sadly, that section of hempstead is still as depressed as ever.

Thanks for the info. I'm not surprised to hear about robberies there, especially with that disparity in income. That said, I think it is very rare given the police presence there. Still, for me it's a comfort level thing. Thanks so much to all of you who have been giving me this valuable information. It really does help.
