Plastic bag fee - EBT card holders exempt? (Leon: tax, living)

Any reason why EBT (welfare) card holders are exempt from paying the plastic bag fee? Signs up in a few stores I’ve been in.

I thought this was about saving the environment? Recycling? Using the same bags won’t cause additional fees for EBT card holders.


While it’s really a tax for the rest of us.

Apparently the government believes EBT holders are not responsible and can't be held to the same standard as the rest of society.

Doesnt pay to have a job and be a productive member of society.
Its far more rewarding and easier to be a leach and a skell.
Why work for a living when you can have everything handed to you.

You pay a FEE to use plastic bags? What the heck for? Where does the money go? That is insane! Do you pay fees for anything made from plastic?

is Suffolk county NY the only one that has to pay for bags. I wonder if any other states have this law? don't get me started on those that have EBT.
