Lived in QC and VT— it’s the winter darkness that got me. And I don’t mind winter nearly as much as many other ppl. Maine is the same latitude.

For every hour less during the winter is an hour more during the summer. Had a childhood friend spend years up north of the arctic circle...now that’s dark during the winter. 30 days of straight darkness in December.
