There is your answer. This property could be a real hot mess inside.

One does not ... treat this like a bad dream and purge it from your mind.

Will drive by only proposals be catching on soon?

Is it really cheap? If so, it may be a short sale. There are firms out there that are notorious for not allowing access to short sales because they are ready to hand them off to their select buyers. But, the bank needs to see it has been on the MLS for a period of time so that they can see that it has been "marketed". Shady, but I've seen it many times. Don't blame your agent. He is not in control.

My ex wife did this also, when divorce court ordered the house for short-sale cause she didnt make payments...she was blocking all attempts to sell while she was trying to refinance. Eventually it went through though. The agent was the biggest help!

My house was a major POS, not for the average handy Hank. The low price reflected that.
We looked at it from the street and made an offer without seeing the inside. The owners had a psycho tenant who they were trying to evict.

Good idea. Unless you’re a flipper and the house is super cheap (price and taxes) it’s hard to consider without even seeing the floor plan and general condition. No photos up on MLS?

My buddy i work with was talking to me about it, he was saying its a possibility they want to sell the house because the tenant isn't paying and it'd easier to sell than to go thru the eviction process in which they would possible **** the house up (cement in waste pipes, and other fun tricks like that.)

Sounds like a short sale or foreclosure.
