Sometimes twice a day if it's windy and/or the fall season.

This isn't normal? What should I do? I feel like I live in an industrial area.

My neighbor would still leaf blow it daily.

Honest question. What do you weekend warriors suggest as the minimum treatments to do? Have some budget issues and want to just get mowing, edging and a mandatory spring cleanup done by my guys. Do not want the 10+ "pesticide" treatments, the 2+ aerations (maybe 1 ok), the multiple fertilizings. Those are what racks up the cost and I don't find it makes enough impact to warrant the cost. I figure I can overseed, milorganite, maybe lime for a fraction of the price myself. Anyone got a short cheat sheet on DIY lawn care?

Crabgrass control with Feed late Apr or when 50F+
Weed as needed
Fungicide June (if necessary)
Insect Control with Feed late June/July
Turf Builder Early Sept
Winterizer Oct-Nov

All cheap, easy, and proven to be completely effective. Also mowing high is a good tip.

$40 for fertilizer every month? What?!

I say, we can dance if we want to
We can leave your friends behind
Because your friends don't dance and if they don't dance
Well, they're no friends of mine
