Looking to get some names of local companies in Suffolk County that do service contracts on home A/C units. I've looked into Home Serve but have read some nightmare stories about them.

I have a 1993 Trane, I had to spend $600 3 summers ago to repair it. I asked the tech if a contract made sense or was worth it. He laughed and said they cover nothing and are a waste of $. He said the best contract offered by anyone would not of covered my repair. This was Petro, I have had no issues with them on the rare occasions that I call them.

Good to know. In the very least, it does give peace of mind for an emergency call, and usually includes a tune up.

Default AC Service

If you are close to the Nassau Border, you could try Abalenes in Syosset.
Don't know the cost of their service contracts, but they do good work.
Not cheap, but, who is?

My neighbor recently opted for AC repair services she found details about them by exploring air conditioning company central NJ (https://allweekairconditioning.com/air-conditioning-north-central-nj.html) page online, and is satisfied with the service. She also suggested me to check their services and hire them for regular maintenance as they provide better service in reasonable charges. If you wish to take professional help you can explore about them with help of Internet.
