I have 2 very old (about 50 years old) and very heavy hospital beds on the 2nd floor in a private home. I need to have them disassembled, removed and disposed of.

While I am looking to get new beds, I am concerned about relying on bed delivery men who would not have experience in disassembling beds of this type. They are also much more heavy than the type you would rent nowadays for short term use in a home. There is potential for a lot of damage to our home if this is not done properly. That's why I am not inclined to call the 1 800 Junk type services.

Would anyone have any recommendations on a specialty company for such work?

Thanks for any help.

I would call 800 got junk and explain the situation. I bet they can handle it. They are also licensed and bonded.

Thanks to nuts2uiam and ChalkItUp for getting back to me. I will call 1 800 Junk but am concerned because their closest location has gotten mixed reviews. For example quoting one price and when the job was done saying it cost more.

People who collect metal and resell it may take the beds away for free. A Craigslist posting could get you lots of responses.
