Hi. I need to move a curio cabinet and a front hall table from Maitland (FL) to Woodmere, NY. Any idea on how to do this cheaply? I need the items packed and moved onto/off the truck at both ends of the move. Thanks in advance

Are they heirloom items? Otherwise the cost of moving them likely will exceed their value. You may try calling a moving company and see if they would take such a small fraction of a load.

I would have to agree. It's gonna be expensive and could be damaged along the way. Not only that you need to coordinate with movers, get estimates, get a warranty for damage and schedule pickup and drop off. A real PIA

OP, are these irreplaceable items?

Call an ask for a fill load of a mover. One of the bigger companies, Allied or United to name just two, will do a partial load which means they have space on the truck but not enough to pick up another full house.

the curio cabinet was made by my stepfather, so it is not replaceable. I have found 2 possible movers. Thanks everyone

Rent a van and make a vacation/road trip out of it.
Grab a few guys at the Home Depot to help unload it.
