we are looking to move to LI from Manhattan. We are reform/conservative and looking for good area with good schools. As neighborhoods are changing quickly and prices can be very high any suggestions would be helpful.

Default LI relocation

Yes i know LI is very big. We didn't want to limit ourselves. that being said we have eliminated Great Neck, Manhasset, Roslyn, New Hyde Park, Jericho, Syosset, 5 Towns, Massapequa and right now want are just looking at Nassau or close to it.

It seems like you either buy a house and need to put alot of work into it or a new house that is very overpriced and it doesnt fit the neighborhood.

You haven't given a budget and you haven't said why the towns you listed are out of the running....which would be helpful before recommendations can be made.

Assuming Reform/Conservative means Judiasm then based on what you have eliminated in Nassau you have Plainview and Merrick if your budget is over 1mm you can add all the ares North in Oyster Bay.
