Pros: Lower taxes than neighboring towns (Merrick/Bellmore, Levittown), schools are well rated, easily accessible by car, lots of young families, diverse mix of people

Cons: No "village" area, no train station

PM me with any questions!

I've always thought of East Meadow as a slightly better-looking Levitrown

Hempstead Turnpike blows.

Somewhat reasonable access to parkways and LIE.
Close to Nassau Colliseum.
Easy access to fast food and 7-11's.
Eisenhower Park.
That's all I got.

I guess the advantages and disadvantages depend on your wants and needs. None of East Meadow is ‘bad’. Some areas aren’t as nice looking as others. Parts of Westbury attend the East Meadow school district as well. The advantages others have listed are what I would mention as well.

But even to get to the part that borders Uniondale, you have to cross over the Meadowbrook.

The Meadowbrook doesn't have a wall.
