Cuomo is trying to make this happen ...

I don't think it's too bad of an idea but there was a meeting last night in Bayville (or Brookville?) to try & vote this down ...

You wouldn't have to deal with city/boro traffic to get to New England.

I personally feel this is so needed and has been for a very long time.

They won't be able to secure 1sq foot of land in Westchester for this dream, Andy should go back to tilting at windmills...

Not happening.
Surprise if that money could be pulled out of Cuomo's ass for some stupid unecessary pipe dream project then that means the money is up there to repair and upgrade the deplorable roadways and infrastructure that already exists. Morons. Stupid politicians. All morons. And liars.

This IS so needed and it's been on the table since forever. The Seaford Oyster Bay aka 135 was supposed to go all the way to the water (and eventually to Rye). Nimby's stopped it in Syosset.

If anyone can make it happen, it would be Andy. It would also be a boon for this sinking ship of an island. To think otherwise would really be in agreement with why there is never any positive growth on LI. A bridge/tunnel to Rye would open a myriad of employment opportunities to LIers. Not to mention make it so much easier to GTFOOH, and ease the burden on an already overworked infrastructure.

This is GOOD.

It's not needed.
Fix what we have already. Add a lane to the LIE and stuff like that.
Repair the crumbling roads we already have.
Nah. Lets drive over potholes and cockeyed lanes and such to get to and go over our brand new shiny bridge.
Its dumb.
At some point in my grandkids lifetime maybe. But not now.

It would help generate money to repair/maintain the existing roadways and ease the burden on same. It's a win win IMO.

It would open up the possibility for CTers to work on LI and LIers to work in CT ... helping businesses on both sides grow.

Ha ha! Yeah right.
Any money generated would go a million other places.
Just like LI state and Peconic County, it wont happen.
In this particular case the Nimby Army will be out in full force.
