This morning I was on Nichols Rd, left lane doing 71, this woman behind me was so close waving her hands up for me to get out of the way because 71 wasn't fast enough for her in a 55 posted speed limit. She finally passes me on the right, gets in front of me only to slow down because of the driver in front of her was also driving at an acceptable speed. Now she is tailgating him.

Today was not just an isolated experience, as it happens all over.

Did you not learn anything what so ever in Drivers Ed?

Why did you let them in front of you? You're supposed to speed up to box them out...

Was this your first time driving on the island or something?? This is a constant that I have come to accept here, especially with pickup trucks...

Pick-up truck drivers are worse than BMW drivers...

I assume theres more than 1 lane since you stated you were in the left lane. Regardless if the other driver was in the wrong or not, why not move over to the right lane and avoid any potential problems. Or better yet, if it’s a road that people routinely like to speed in, stay in the right lane.

98% of drivers drive nervous and are unaware of their surroundings. For example, when I’m in the left lane on the northern state parkway going 70mph or so and I see an approaching car coming at afaster speed, I move over to the right and then back to the left lane once he passes. No big deal.

I don't have to move over, 70 should be fast enough on Nichols Rd. It's not the LIE or anything.

I understand legally you don’t. But it only takes a few seconds to do so. You avoid any headaches, possible road rage incidents, and saves you from having to waste time making this thread.

If this thread is a waste of time, why are you on it?
