Quite simply - does it work when you hire a company to spray your yard? Even if they rid your property of places for breeding (tires, pots, anything that can hold water), they can still fly in from other properties who don't give a damn. Right? Is the spray potent enough to linger for weeks yet safe enough for people and pets?

Yes it does work and the spray should last about 3 weeks depending on if it rains a lot. However the main drawback to mosquito spraying is that they can kill good bees such as honeybees that pollinate flowers and plants.

Get a bat house. Bats will live in there and eat mosquitos.
Or get your own pesticides and spray.

Fun fact: Mosquitoes don't bite people who drink a lot of beer. Something about the beer turns them off.

I've been using one of the companies that spray the Garlic mixes that kill ticks, fleas & mosquitoes and it's safe for people & pets. So far, I haven't had any mosquitoes - so to me it's worth it not to get eaten alive in the yard. They spray every 3 weeks.

What company did you use?

Are you talking about beer drinkers in general or someone who's chilling in the back yard drinking beers? Because I'm both and I get bitten all the time. The only time I don't get bitten is when I spray my entire body in Off deep woods and setup a fire pit.

it works, my old neighbors here in NC sprayed their yard a couple of times and we benefitted from it. Big properties too, 1/3 acre. People say it kills the bees but we have plenty of bees.

I do bats at twilight sometimes so they help too.
