I have a dumpster in my front yard. Do you think the town of huntington will send inspectors to checkout my kitchen remodel cause they have seen the dumpster? Its only been there for one week.
But what if an inspector shows up to the house? I can tell him I was just removing junk, but what if he wants to come inside? Do I have to let him / her inside?

Inspectors do not go around looking for violations, someone would have to rat you out.
Never let anyone into your home and be vague of someone stops by.
I just did 2 back-to-back bath remodels with a dumpster in my driveway for about a month in Huntington Station - no issues. You shouldn't have any problems unless your neighbors have some sort of beef and report you.
But you don't need to let anyone - including a town inspector - into your house without a warrant.

Inspector: :Why do you have a dumpster in your driveway
You: We have a lot of junk to get rid of
Inspector: Looks like debris from a remodel
You: Yup that's the junk. Previous owner left it all in the basement/garage/attic, we've had some damaged drywall as well.
Inspector: Mind if I come in?
You: Yes, I do, thanks for asking. Have a nice day.
LMAO...and since they are government employees that'll be around 3 p.m. wink wink
...but it's Monday and every inspector took a 3 day weekend. First thing Tuesday....between 11 & 2
