$69 for an exam in NJ. Never gotten out of the vet's office without spending $150 to $250.

Vets definitely have better bedside manners over people doctors.
And they are actually pretty affordable compared to people care.
See what the going rates are for medical charges lately?
No insurance and you're totally screwed. Such a racket the medical field has going on.
I wish my vet could could take care of me.
Basically, don't have pets if you can't afford or dont want the expense and responsibility.

$47 for the visit fee in South Carolina.

The emergency vet gets $99 up front before they'll even talk to you.

How much does it cost to attend veterinary school? - I Want to be a Veterinarian - VIN Foundation - VIN

Add in staff, insurance, office fees and I would be surprised if any vet other than a rescue charity charges $30.
Pay all that off in 10-15 years +/-
It will cost you 500k++ with interest.

You didn't just ask a simple question, you also editorialized:
Vet fees have gotten out of hand.
Fed up with paying ridiculous fees.

What did you expect?

Oh yeah, welcome to CD Long Island, you'll love it here!
