I have a wooden deck and porch and there are always at least two that lurk around the area any given point of the day. I've seen some suggestions while googling, but I wanted to see if anyone here had experience with what worked and what didn't? I'm generally open to most suggestions so anything you can provide is appreciated.

Thanks

just two and that bothers you?

I had a hive under the porch. Sprayed the hole with an expanding foam spray.

Gallon of gas and a Bic lighter. Pour gas on deck and light.

Are you handy? Carpenter Bee Traps are crazy easy to make and you likely have enough scrap material around to build one. They are very effective. They are also reasonably cheap to purchase if you dont' wish to build. Video below on one construction method...

I’d feel sorry about a couple of carpenter bees but I had to get rid of thousands of what i thought were paper wasps but ended up being yellowjackets.

They multiply like bunnies.

"The bees can produce up to three generations during a summer, with each female depositing 6 to 8 eggs in each brood.
The colony will overwinter in the wood, then mate and being [sic] again the next spring continuing to build out the tunnel and breeding chambers as the population grows."
