If you don't trust LIBOR there is always the Department of State

Assuming you want to stay, get any stipulations in writing - tenants, etc. to amend the lease in case he goes off again in another month.

Cause he doesn't want to pay you back any rent money already paid.Or the broker might have offered him money to keep you.

If the relationship can be mended, congrats. For the headache the agent put you through, you should still ask them for some kind of reimbursement.

Hey everyone, im going to bump my post just to share any info if anyone else deals with the issue...she came back to me demanding money again i said no(last month).. She gave me a personal eviction notice and it says" if dont leave she will take it to court"....i went to a lawyer prior to this just to have one and i Already paid for it...but it really just seems im going to be screwed or not compensated for much...basically..

- my lawyer told me not to pay rent for the next 2 months then leave( if i cant find a place by then, then the landlord will go to court and my lawyer will fight for more time)
- im not getting my Broker fee back
-since its an illegal apartment the town can make me leave in really short notice

Im not a freeloader as i work very hard for my money, but i am very angry and i feel the landlord is winning and she has been harrassing us this entire time, i lost my broker fee..the lawyer fee i feel is a waste,if i stay for 2 months she has my last months rent and security deposit anyway that i cant get back...

- the eviction is for breach of contract and i dont feel like we did wrong
