Stupid Q...

How do the census figures work ? I know 2010 and 2020 are probably real physical counts, how do people figure out the years in between ? Elections ? DMV ? How accurate are they ?

If these are just estimates and the traffic has gotten worse and worse every year on LI, we might be in for a surprise in 2020... yay !!
Like when I used to get the LIPA bill with "actual reading".

The articles states it was based on Census bureau's estimates.

Worthy of note - it is a Newsday article.

Simple reason: Proximity to NYC. That's where the money is.

East of 110 is losing population over a lack of access to jobs that can cover LI's taxes.

I've always crumpled up and tossed out census forms.
I refuse to be a statistic.
