Hey i'm getting into traditional woodworking as a hobby and would love the ability to take a peak in your dumpster and see if there is any wood I can use. I like old beefy wood. Many home owners over the past year have been kind and very gracious and in return I give them a gift as a token of my appreciation. I am trying to learn and I don't like watching good wood just disappear.

I might have a couple of decent sized pieces of solid walnut. Would you travel to Huntington?

May not be what you have in mind but for practice wooden pallets are always available. Go to Walmart, HD or Loews

I use pallets to practice on. Itís nice to have a variety. I rescue all wood. But I am looking for thicker lumber for certain projects. Appreciate any help.
