Does anyone know if there are under ground tunnels there? Just wondering what the black covers are for along the walkway at the north end of the runway.

There's maybe electrical stuff under there, I watched some utility guys replace one of those covers in my neighborhood before.

Most likely just electrical access panels to the runway lighting

Those are usually covers for electrical transformers.
